Smart Swing Techniques for New Female Golfers

A lot has been said about male golfers and their swing techniques that could make them shine on the courses. But what about the girls out there who want to have some quality time learning golf and taking those swings? Are those really more challenging in comparison to what are meant for the boys? Well, golf is a wonderful game where gender complications have no place. Just like men take pleasure in enjoying the game, women too can have a great tie on the fields. What is more important is to enjoy the game, which goes true for both the genders. So, being a girl, what can be done initially is shanking a few balls at the driving range in the locality. In this process, they can meet golfers who will help them take the best of swings.

If it’s the first time for a she, swing is not a wise thing to try in the first instance. Despite, if you are one of those fast learners who think swings can fetch you more interest towards the game, here are a few tips that will help you acquire mastery over the game. Take a look:

  • Just look at the ball – Golfers have a tendency to watch the flight of the ball and not the ball itself. So, you must ensure to watch the ball until your swing has ended. Also, make sure that your eyes and head do not move up in watching the flight. If you end up making such a blunder, the ball will simply remain within the peripheral vision long after you are done with your swing. In other words, watch the ball and do not get your eyes off.

  • Keep your club at 45-degree angle – During swings, what most golfers end up doing is holding their club straight back. In contrast, the wiser thing is to keep your club back at a 5-degree angle. One advantage of this is that you will be able to trigger your power that you derive from your hips. A lot of female golfers try pulling their golfs back to gain more strength. But this heavily affects not only form but largely accuracy. In other words, stay alert with your club.

  • Avoid doing the twist – Posture is a big thing in the game of golf that determines a player’s success on the ground. If you are ready to take the shot, just make sure to turn your right toe by not more than twenty degrees. This will restrict your hips from turning along with your shoulders and arms on your backswing. On doing so, your swings are sure to be in control and make you a better golfer with time.

  • Get hold of the slice – There are a lot of golfers who are still unaware of the fact as to where exact lies the slice, that is, the face of the club. So, when you are holding the club, make sure that the face is pointed towards the direction where the ball would go. Once done, get hold of the club so that its face stays towards the desired direction through the whole swing.

  • Get the grip – While you are taking the swing, the power that your hips and shoulders create will be transited through your hands when hitting the ball with the club. So, if by any chances the grip gets compromised, you will automatically lose a good deal of power in the process. To ensure this, keep your left as tight as possible and then only you will have what you call a solid grip. Just remember to make at least a couple of knuckles visible.

  • Keep the left-right combination – During the backswing, what you tend to do is swing your left shoulder so as to keep your right leg in alignment. Being a female, you can always master this by keeping a club in tune with your chest. Once done, twist your upper torso till the club head stands in alignment with the right leg.

  • Take it easy – Golf is a game of pure entertainment and not something that will create anxiety and tension. So, try staying cool with the game as much as possible. Remember, the more effort you take to take to hit a shot, the harder you will find to play the game. Instead, the more relaxed you are while taking a shot, the easier it will be to score. So, enjoy the game as much as possible.
